The book chosen for our evening (February 1st) meeting is Fire and Fury  by Michael Wolff.  The book is not out as of January 4th but I''ve been told that it will be in the  stores by January 8th at the latest.

We have also decided to meet during the day on February 3rd (Saturday) to discuss a second book, one chosen by the new book club called "Read it Now" that was organized by the New York Times and PBS.  The book is titled: Sing, Unburied, Sing  by Jesmyn Ward.

In Jesmyn Ward's first novel since her National Book Award-winning Salvage the Bones, this singular American writer brings the archetypal road novel into rural twenty-first-century America.  An intimate portrait of a family and an epic tale of hope and struggle.  Sing, Unburied, Sing journeys through Mississippi's past and present, examining the ugly truths at the heart of the American story and the power--and limitations--of family bonds..

Happy Reading!
